RIDGE AVENUE
Ridge Avenue is a ground up building featuring four stories of residential units atop ground floor retail space. Situated between Edgewater’s serene lakeside community and the vibrant social atmosphere of Andersonville in Chicago, the building incorporates Universal Design principles. The building's exterior showcases thoughtful architectural details, including protruding brickwork, and a distinctive glass tile accent highlighting the elevator shaft. Longboard metal louvers enhance the ground floor, while carefully designed punched window openings incorporate a variety of window types, creating a dynamic façade. At ground level, the project features two inviting courtyards. The larger courtyard serves as a welcoming pedestrian entryway from the bustling Ridge Avenue sidewalk, with casual seating next to a covered entrance for the retail space. Behind this public area lies a more secluded residential courtyard, providing residents with an enclosed retreat that provides access to the building’s lobby. A key focus of the Ridge Avenue project is inclusivity; the residential units are designed with ADA standards in mind. Each unit boasts solid bamboo wood flooring, generous natural light, and contemporary finishes, ensuring a modern and accessible living experience. All residences are accessible by elevator, and each has their own private balcony for access to the outdoors. This project exemplifies our commitment to innovative design that enhances community interaction while providing comfortable and stylish living spaces.
