This special home at the iconic 1212 North Lake Shore Drive was designed around views: both of the neighboring lake and the client’s extensive art collection.

The client was pleased to acquire a two-bedroom flat on the 32nd floor; however, the unit had not been renovated for some years and needed an update. Additional needs included accommodations for: family and friends for dinners, overnight stays for grown children, and a jazz record collection complete with turntable. And top priority: the space should be comfortable. By rethinking circulation and moving the kitchen, an axis was created across the foyer. Now, the east and west windows connect, flooding the entry with light.
